Volunteer

WSPA offices are open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm. At present we are looking for volunteers to concentrate mainly on fundraising, publicity, advocacy, administration and marketing work. By volunteering your time you will help WSPA cut down on costs, so even more funds go to the animals.

Volunteer duties include research, advocacy/outreach, maintaining our website(s) and administrative duties such as folding letters, filing, photocopying and basic computer and phone work. These duties vary depending on availability, what you enjoy and what you feel comfortable doing. There is always volunteer work available and we'd love to meet you.

The Canadian office is located in mid-town Toronto. Please call us at (416) 369-0044 if you would like to donate your time.

If you don't live in the Toronto area or want to explore other animal-related volunteer opportunities, contact one of our member societies in your area to see if they have a suitable position available for you.

Please note that WSPA does not have any field work or work that directly involves contact with animals available in Canada.

Volunteer Profile

Volunteering at WSPA has been an eye opening experience. I assisted them with their day to day work and they helped raise my awareness about the issues facing animals in our world. Although it may be impossible for one person to help everyone and everything, dedicating my time to WSPA is still one of the best decisions I ever made.- Carlo

I volunteered at WSPA because I've always been compassionate towards animals. Just the thought of knowing that people are being cruel to poor, innocent creatures drove me into wanting to help in any possible way. Even though I knew you wouldn't have contact with animals, it was fine because either way I was making a difference in the fate of our planet.- Chiara
