WSPA Canada launches Face to Face Fundraising in Ontario and BC!

Jan 4, 2010

WSPA is launching its face to face fundraising in Ontario and BC in January 2010

WSPA Canada will be launching Face to Face and Door to Door fundraising in January 2010, and this campaign will be running until May 2010 in Ontario and British Columbia. Please show your support for the animals by pledging a small donation every month if one of our WSPA representatives calls at your door or approaches you on the street.

What is Face to Face fundraising and Door to Door Fundraising?

This type of communication allows you to engage one on one with a WSPA fundraiser in your community. Usually face to face fundraising happens outside in cities, but it can also take place in malls and at events.

Door to Door fundraising is when a WSPA fundraiser visits your home to collect monthly donations or single gift donations; via direct debit or credit card. This type of communication allows someone to speak directly to a knowledgeable member of the WSPA fundraising team about the different ways to get involved with the WSPA.

Why does the WSPA use this method of fundraising?

Door to Door fundraising and Face to Face fundraising are proven to be a safe and secure method for recruiting new donors and it is also a cost-effective way of raising funds to support our mission. It is particularly successful in recruiting supporters who have tended not to respond to other types of fundraising, as some people prefer to be approached personally before they donate.

Who are the fundraisers and how will I know if they are genuine?

WSPA fundraisers are fundraising on the street at main intersections and door-to-door in your neighborhood. Our fundraisers are smartly dressed and wear a black vest with the WSPA logo printed on the front in orange. They wear ID badges with the WSPA logo and display the fundraiser's name, ID number and the fundraiser's photo.

Who is conducting fundraising on behalf of WSPA?

Our teams of fundraisers are supplied by Public Outreach. Public Outreach is a professional fundraising organization headquartered in Toronto. For more information, visit www.publicoutreach.ca.

How your donation will help

Your support helps stop the suffering of animals by ending cruelty towards them. For animals to live a life free from cruelty, they need long-term, ongoing help from people like you.
